Aaron Hultgren grew up outside of a small Minnesota town called Saint James. He lived on a farm with his parents, brother, and sister. He was only eight years old when he began his journey into entrepreneurism. His first venture was raising and selling chicken to make money. Aaron’s mom even taught him some basic accounting principles, as she had him keep a ledger of expenses.  He continued to find ways to make money on the farm throughout his childhood and up until he was a teenager. 

In 1998, Aaron and his family moved to Brandon, SD where Aaron finished out his high school years, graduating in 2001. Aaron wrestled throughout his high school career, winning the State Championship as a freshman. Aaron became interested with the real estate industry during his senior year in high school. He took some real estate classes, read several books, and shadowed various real estate professionals in the Brandon/Sioux Falls, SD market. At the young age of 20, he purchased his first investment property in Brookings, SD, which is where Aaron attended South Dakota State University. At SDSU, Aaron studied Business Economics. Aaron was also enlisted in the Army during his college years and spent the majority of his college years training for the Army National Guard. 

After college, Aaron got into the mortgage industry as a mortgage originator at Keystone Mortgage. This is where he acquired his experience and knowledge in investment and real estate finance.  Aaron had much experience with a variety of different residential (single and multi-family)  and commercial loans.  At Keystone, he was the top Loan Officer , bringing in the highest total sales volume consistently month after month.  

In 2008, Aaron helped create the real estate development company named Legacy Developments. Since the inception of the company, it has reached over 200 million dollars in development and acquisitions. Aaron was the Director of Operations of Legacy Developments for 15 years before he created a new development company in Texas. As of 2018, Aaron moved to the Dallas / Fort Worth area, where he is currently the President and CEO of Tango Development.  At Tango, Aaron’s vision is to provide quality investments with better than average returns while enriching communities they invest in.

In addition to real estate, Aaron is one of the founding managing members of PAve.  PAve is a bar -restaurant located in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls on Phillips Avenue. The bar-restaurant opened its doors in 2016 and has been a staple downtown bar in Sioux Falls, SD since that time.  The facility has a staff of over 70 employees and is the number one night-life scene in the city.  The building is currently over 18,000 square feet and has an occupancy limit of over 1,000 people.  

Through all of Aaron’s various business ventures, he has raised over 30 million dollars in private equity and secured more than 100-million-dollar institutional debt. He has served on the Bid Board for the City of Sioux Falls and has volunteered time with Volunteers of America, United Way, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Chamber of Commerce.   Aaron spent six years in the South Dakota Army National Guard. In addition, Aaron was a performer and volunteer at Catfish Bay in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for over 15 years.  

Aaron resides in McKinney, TX with his fiancé, Mallory, and their pug, Clyde. Mallory is a licensed real estate agent in Texas and helps with transaction management for Aaron. Together, they enjoy spending as much time boating at the lake. Aaron has taught Mallory, as well as 1000s of children, how to wakeboard, waterski, and surf. Aaron’s favorite watersport is hydrofoiling, which he loves to do flips and various tricks on.  When Aaron and Mallory are not busy working, or at the lake, they are traveling. Both enjoy going on crazy adventures across the world and plan to visit all 50 states and all continents before they retire.
